Well, if she “firmly believes in everyone’s right to be left alone” as much as we’re supposed to believe she does, then it would follow that she believes in the rights of POC to be left alone by cops and the rights of Muslims to be left alone by random strangers with Opinions (and the rights of undocumented immigrants

It feels so silly, really, us all gathering here to take turns stating the obvious and pointing out how obvious it is! It’s like...

I personally comment on people’s clothes from time to time, but it’s always something along the lines of “Ooh, what a pretty necklace!” or “That’s a really great color on you!” or “I like that tie! Very snazzy,” or even “Aren’t you looking fabulous today!”

That’s an awfully hot take. Care to expound on it?

Okay, fine, then, it’s relevant to the legal process. And I would argue that unfortunately, what goes on in the Court of Public Opinion is also relevant to that process.

I’m not a frequent Tumblrer or whatever, but I just-so-happened to have recently come across a couple of Tumblr astrology memes that I found particularly delightful:

Hint: They’re always fake. ;)

“Brafman [said] that the #MeToo movement is ‘proving so over the top,’ rendering his colleagues so paralyzed with fear that they’re unable to tell ‘an attractive associate that they’re wearing a nice outfit.’”

Well, the good news is that I think kids are much more aware of this than they were, say, 10 years ago; even if they go to a party and get sloshed, for example, the pictures maybe go on Snapchat for a few hours and then get deleted. I HAVE TWO ACCOUNTS TOO NOW! :D

What, because I’m fed up with how our justice system treats victims of sexual abuse and I get a little ranty about it? It’s upsetting, dude. If you’re not upset, then either you’re an unfeeling jerk or you just don’t get it.

Ah, now that makes sense. Thanks for the clarification!

It seems like this is pretty much the usual story with hazing deaths: what ultimately does the kid in is that his “brothers” (I mean, his soon-to-be brothers, excuse me) are too cowardly to get him any kind of medical attention that might save his life. If I ever started a fraternity or a sorority, I feel like “Do you

I have to admit I’m dying to know what you could have possibly done to deserve a ban; I don’t think I’ve ever seen you post anything that wasn’t absolutely sweet-as-pie unless you were talking about someone who abused their partner. You tend to be a teensy bit less sweet about that particular category of people, I

I think the significance of that anecdote could vary quite a bit depending on how long ago it was. If he wasn’t 100% out at the time, I could totally understand his response. It seems like a weird thing to not clarify.

Okay, that’s not a bad point; forget about that example, then. I just meant that as soon as the information was shared, the story became about more than the information itself and the information couldn’t have been contained at that point anyhow.
