Lift your windshield wipers up when you park your car. That way they don't freeze to the glass. You don't risk damaging them with the snow brush/ice scraper, or tearing them when you turn them on and they're stuck down.

More good advice is to loosen the lug nuts prior to jacking the car. Those things can be tight as hell and trying to get them loose with the car resting on a jack is pretty dangerous

Look at it, I know it is not exactly bike gauges, but it is closer to that than car gauges. It is hard to tell from the picture, but they are not attached to the dash but instead to the steering column.
