Mexican Blade Runner is right. The really gross thing about this episode was realizing that as disgusting as Pete is, he's still just a hatchetman operating with the tacit approval of his supposed betters. None of them except Don argued with his results, and even Don allowed things to happen by not doing more to shut

I did too, but that sneer would have had a lot more weight if Lane hadn't 10 minutes later leveraged his much better relationship with Joan to sell her out and cover his own ass. I think he was more responsible than Pete was for her decision to do it; she probably would not have come up with that partnership idea on

I don't know that that's true. I think it would have given her pause for sure, but she still needed to get the refrigerator fixed, where "get the refrigerator fixed" means "ensure a stable future for herself and her son." Don's words were sweet, but they didn't address the problems that made her even consider doing it

Seriously. I hadn't realized how much she's grown on me, but she tore it up in this episode.

"Shoes too?"

Yeah, Beth may have bitten off more than she'll want to chew. Nobody out-psychos Pete Campbell!

Completely agree. "Sister Ray" builds up so much good will in the first 5 minutes that the last 12 would have to be apocalyptically bad to squander it all (and they're not; they're just a different kind of fun. God, I love that song). "I Heard Her Call My Name," on the other hand, never develops beyond a lot of fast

I dunno. I actually enjoyed Ziggy and his chronic aura of incipient disaster. Declan I just want to smack.

Yeah, I hear he ruined your gloves.

Dude, leave feminism out of it. Feminism isn't what makes Andrea stupid. If the writers had a more feminist bent, the female characters on this show wouldn't be so useless.

I call her Bitchlivia myself, but I'm not especially clever.

I suppose it's possible that he's milking his mother's death, but I think it's just as likely that Josh's clear emotional immaturity has made it more difficult for him than for most to process the loss. No, scratch that, I think it's a combination of both. Besides, it had just been her birthday. Anniversaries like

Doesn't Carla tend to work a bit slower than most of the others? That might have had something to do with her being chosen last. I personally would have chosen her sooner, if for no other reason than the morale boost she could give the team. She's so awesome.

Some of my faves
1) Homer, to his designated driver, after the latter has driven him home in the Simpson family car: "Don't forget to bring back my car back in the morning, Barney! Just sliiiiiide it unner the door…"
2) Lenny, after a recent eye injury: "Augh, my eye! I'm not supposed to get pudding in it!"
3) Homer,

Stupid question (yeah, bring it)

I think it's realistic for Sally to be guarded with the therapist, who she knows reports to her mother, and who she knows is supposed to "fix" her in some way. People in mandated therapy naturally will often have more resistance to the process than those who seek it out.
