I know you are describing something awful but I can’t help but picture that with the TOS fight music in the background.

I love the show. I am a fan, but nowhere in the ballpark as most of these people. We all like different things, and that is fine. Choose to like more than one thing though. I’ve seen too many friends get sucked into the fandom world, and it is frustrating. There is a weird tipping point where fans stop enjoying

I remember years and years ago, my sis and I going to a Star Trek convention and enjoying ourselves, seeing stars from the shows and people watching the fans dressed up and sharing their knowledge. As we were leaving, some guy started verbally abusing another guy for wearing the wrong color with accessories or

All she’s known for!?! Ahem. Excuse me. Perhaps you’re not acquainted with a little movie called MANNEQUIN??

This reminds me. During the World Baseball Classic, anytime Puerto Rico did well, people (and/or bots) would post shit like “we’re going to build a wall!” This inevitably led to hilarious tweets in response, because good luck building a wall around Puerto Rico, idiots.

THIS. He took objectification of women to the next level, in a society where that was already the accepted norm.

I will never understand this dude’s popularity with women. The man basically kept a creepy babe-zoo in his house and only supported ‘women’s empowerment’ as long as it fit his idea of women being naked and not being ~prudes~ about it. If literally any other man did this, would we applaud him for being an ‘icon’?

The Jones Act is terrible. It’s a major reason that Puerto Rico is bankrupt. The island could be a major shipping and trading hub, but it’s precluded from earning a living. Then what is supposed to drive its economy? Tourism alone isn’t enough.

Reduced port capacity?

So, how long until we’ve got politicians shooting onstage at faceless targets they “jokingly” call by their opponents’ names?

came here for the Indiana Jones and was not disappointed.

He chose.....poorly.

here’s hoping he chooses the wrong grail, and gets turned into a stop motion skeleton.

So, I thought conservatism was supposed to be, in part, about upholding the rule of law. Moore seems like a weird candidate, since he’s best known for ignoring the SCOTUS on multiple occasions. It’s almost like the the GOP prizes resentment and pseudo-masculinity over actual conservatism (see also, Arpaio, Joe)

I agree with you on the laugh track - EXCEPT. The laugh track in the first couple seasons of M*A*S*H includes a dude with the most hilarious, goofy, weird guffaw-giggle, and that laugh makes me laugh even if the joke doesn’t. It’s so good.

Why? No really why? If you want to make Peter Rabbit make Peter Rabbit. If you want to make a creepy fratdouche rabbit movie do that but don’t sully poor Beatrix Potter with your bullshit.

Just goes to show: you either die a beloved children’s character, or you live long enough to see yourself become the asshole.

Obligatory.
