As someone who was in the same situation, I agree

Can we just counter it by playing Marky Mark’s ‘Fear’ on repeat? Sort of like Christmas Vacation is during December, or A Few Good Men is any other time of the year? Just 24/7 playing on one cable channel or another?

My favorite was when 30something Demi Moore sexually harassed 50something Michael Douglas. It was the plausibility of it all that I liked.

I think there is plenty of blame to go around. If conditions are bad I always let my car slow down before a blind corner or hill, reasoning that something might be obscured that would be important to react to (like a truck in the side if the road.

On the other hand, your vote when you pass 50 is aggressively courted by most politicians, often to the detriment of younger generations (see Trump, Brexit, conservatism generally).

Speaking as an olds, there are few bennies available. Being invisible/ignored can have its perks. But when the fastest growing poverty group is single/divorced women over 60, it ain’t pretty. And given the rampant (and ramping-up) sexism, it’s only getting worse. Plus, those crazy old guys in Congress want to cut

Yeah I figured. I’m sorry that you had some not good experiences. I think a lot of colleges are all talk when it comes to diversity and want to make themselves look like they care about inclusion, but in reality could give two shits.

I’m living for this thread.

It’s time to get out the pill-delivering drones! It won’t cover everybody, but every bit helps!

I’ll never understand why people disparage safe spaces, especially not the white dudes whose forefathers created private schools and the suburbs.

You’re equating beauty and nudity with this logic. Aren’t swimsuits only part of a pageant contest?

Um, shut up. Why shouldn’t she? Pagents generally provide large scholarships for their winners. You think it’s a good thing to discriminate against contests based on their religious beliefs?

My husband voted write in and I still love him. We just don’t talk about our ballots in the house.

No. Maybe I’ll change my mind years from now, if the damage isn’t too devastating (unlikely) and if the person regrets abstaining or voting third party.

I’ve actually read that closely aligned political values are a *really* good indicator of relationship success, so I would never start something with someone whose views I found gross. So, nope.

The “free college” comment is very troubling to me. Why is he railing against a vital part of the Sander’s platform? I get so tired hearing about Bernie’s “freebies” from conservatives. Hearing that from someone who voted for Sanders would have me totally questioning his mental facilities. Ignorance is always a deal

I went on a date with a guy who I am pretty sure didn’t ask me out again because I said I has absolutely no moral qualms about voting Clinton (he asked if I did).

No. it’s not just politics it’s people’s lives they played with. It’s just a totally different way they see the world. Tells me that they’re selfish af.

My husband is a recovering Republican and while he registered as Dem this year, he voted for Johnson. I was pretty apolitical when we first started dating.

No.
