This makes me so mad, I actually drafted an angry email to the person who wrote this letter and then deleted it. I wouldn’t actually do anything because I would be afraid that might make the situation worse “now the victim has put our information online to harass US, so counter-suit!”

My point was, that even by GOP-supporter standards, they fall short. How can you claim to be patriotic while you’re literally unfurling a flag of a terror-state founded mainly to keep people enslaved by toppling the US government.

Gee, where are the people who are outraged that DNC rallies display flags of Mexico and Palestine along with the US flag? Last I checked, Palestine never tried to take over Washington DC and Mexico is a recognized sovereign nation.

I’m reminded by something I read recently criticizing “insular” Muslim communities. Muslims are, at best, unwelcome in North America and Europe, and when they turn to each other for solidarity, it’s viewed as insular and regressive.

I mean, male athletes pull this “retirement ... just kidding!” stuff all the time, right? Doesn’t seem like that big of a deal.

I know exactly how comments about diversity in gaming are received by other gamers and developers. The fact that this complaint would be taken lightly or ignored is not surprising at all to me.

It’s kind of sad when you realize that politicians do have to fit certain appearance-based criteria to be successful. Even among white male politicians (the best represented demographic of US politicians) bald, overweight, short politicians are fairly unusual, and opponents do attack appearance rather than policy.
