I can’t find any answer about this. If she resigns today, and another Senator is appointed by Newsom, does that person take her spot on the committee or is it another thing that has to clear the Senate making a lot of the talk about judges moot anyways?

There has to be more to this story and want to know what the EPA says. The Toxic Control Act and its update in 2016 make the regulation of chemicals very stringent let alone allowing a 1 in 4 cancer risk.

I think it is clear that the Supreme Court will issue a similar ruling, which means court intrusion into the expert decisions of a government agency based on nothing more than pure political beliefs.
