@Vone: On stock 2.1, I got approximately 2 Mflops and jumped to 8 with 2.2. I get about 18.2 Mflops on my Droid with Froyo and a 1.2 GHz overclock kernel. Just wait until the X gets Froyo. Expect it to be approx. 4x higher, maybe more.

@Vone: I know I'm getting a little squirrely here, but I just gotta know: Have you ran Linpack yet? How many Mflops?

@Vone: I've heard so many bad things about Blur...What's your take? I really want to love the phone because of my good experience with the Droid.

@Stem_Sell: Funny you say that... The taint is a very fragile, delicate area. Ask my buddy about when he fell off the tank and ripped his.

@cynep: Calm down, it's just a phone.

@MazdaMania: Did you confuse this site with TechCrunch and an MG Siegler article?

@Drummertist: If I had to choose a phone right now - the world was ending and depended on my Verizon smarphone selection - I would pick the Incredible and use unrEVOked to Vanilla the phone down a bit. Solid hardware and vanilla Android is why I picked the original Droid. The difficulty in rooting the X turns me

@darkmstr: They definitely touted that antenna as magical and revolutionary, but would it have been such a big deal if nobody made such a big deal about Apple? I mean, holy crap, WWDC was live on every tech blog on the Internet. Nobody else gets that kind of coverage.

Swype is awesome. So simple, so quick. The minute I installed it, I thought "I am never buying a phone that does have this ever again, and why doesn't my iPad have this?"

@MadCow234: No, that's well put. How many crappy devices have been made by HTC, RIM, Nokia, LG, Samsung and Motorola over the years? Plenty. I know because I've owned them. Put the Apple logo on there and people expect absolute perfection, and then tell you you're drinking the Kool-Aid when you bring this up.

I've calculated my wife's complaint rate about her Droid Eris at just a hair under 50% (whereby I calculated days she complained about the phone for everything but antenna issues). HTCs numbers aren't exactly telling you everything. The phone is awful, but it makes phone calls. The iPhone is otherwise stellar, but

@tehsquish: Can't be too many people calling into Verizon to complain with the two hour wait times.

@Corey Blackburn: I think the issue here is that Apple is not willing to have an adult section, nor are they willing to provide an app that will randomly expose you to dicks.
