How do you defend selling out a child to sexual predators in the name of fame?

It has nothing to do with how “hot” you are. I’ve gotten cat called while looking like a hot dumpster fire. I’m short and overweight and for the most part give zero fucks about my appearance. The only thing that has stemmed the catcalls is putting a ring on my left hand. Because god forbid a man disrespect another

Starred for the “Nope Train to Fuckthatville,” a phrase I have never heard but plan on using every 5 minutes for the rest of my life.

I do wonder how much Orthodox Judaism has influenced her views on female modesty.

I was with you for a minute there, Mayim, I really was. I, too, have experienced probably less-than-average amounts of sexual harassment and catcalling (though not none, of course, because duh), and I’ve largely attributed it to two things: I’ve always been a homebody, and I’m not hot, just regular. So I get that

Like being a bare minimum of decent human being and not sexually assaulting should get a damned award.

I’ve never been harassed or assaulted, but hearing about the sheer numbers of women who felt isolated and didn’t want to say anything because they wanted to keep their jobs...is really depressing. It’s a reminder. Women everywhere have to endure this on multiple levels every day. When you’re frustrated and angry and

In their letters, James I states how he wept so profusely at their parting, “that I can scarcely see to write.” But scholars have argued that such sentiments are not atypical of male friendship in the 17th and 18th centuries.

“He is racist, misogynistic, hateful, oppressive, violent, cruel, vain, and utterly devoid of self awareness.”

James Woods, like most of his unhinged brethren, exists only in opposition to ideas. Entirely incapable of advancing the human condition or articulating arguments for anything, they can only scream, “No!” in the face of progress and obstruct the work of others.

It’s like she’s Joan of Arc(adia)!

So not only does Tamblyn’s description of the encounter ring true, she follows/juxtaposes it with this;

Don’t do witches this way. They ain’t done nothing to you.

In her defense, she was merely pointing out that despite her witch face she’s not actually green.

Right? One day I woke up and realized that I am Facebook friends with the first person who touched me inappropriately and without my consent (6th grade; remember it like it was yesterday). I bet a huge majority of women would say the same thing. It’s so prevalent we think it’s just part of life. Ugh.

This is gospel, all of it.

I’m going to start saying just that. Great idea. :) It’ll get creepy but we will give them nowhere to hide.

I feel like we need to decide on a collective response to that bullshit. Like, any time a dude (or sometimes it’s ladies too) pulls something like that out, just give him a cold “That’s gaslighting. Stop it.” and move on.

It is not on us. It is, and has always been, on them.
