Wolverine and Professor X actually were legitimately involved in the Dark Phoenix story the first time. Wolverine probably broke out as a character because of his defiant scene in the Hellfire sewers. But without Wolverine, perhaps the writers will have to actually treat Cyclops as a lead for once.

thats what I thought at first too, then I remember she can't be burned which is unrealistic too, then I remembered she has dragons, which don't exist, so then I just said "fuck it" and enjoyed the show...

There's sort of a mystery, yeah, but it's clear now that he isn't Benjen Stark. And yeah, he looks cool with his undead elk, but he would have just been an useless investment. There are better places to spend that money in the show (dragons).

I wonder if it will be revealed this season anyway?
