Abuse can be really subtle and intimidating. Gaslighting is super insidious and basically works like covert brainwashing. It can be invisible to others observing it AND the victim.

There are so many possible versions of what could be happening here. Including an abuse dynamic (I mean, I don't have a lot of hope that a serial rapist's primary relationship is terribly healthy), including stuff going down between them that we could never guess at. Here's my question: who knew Bill Cosby had so much shit in the works to be cancelled/postponed? I feel like I haven't heard from him since his new(ish) show got cancelled in 2000 or whenever that was. Or maybe one of those "Kids Say the Darnedest Things" specials. Regardless, a long ass time ago.
