They ditched a whole lot of what was interesting about the ‘Urban EV’ concept they showed earlier. No bench seat, no sexy wheels. They made it a 4 door, and ruined the airy greenhouse of the prototype with poorly hidden massive A and B pillars. They downsized the wheel and tire diameters to the point that it looks…

It went from amazing to meh, IMO.

Ever since Patrick crashed a Camaro at the launch, Jalopnik has been super salty about anything related to GM. It’s really immature and unfortunately one of my major issues with a site I love. I support honestly calling out companies when they have issues, but literally flipping your opinion on something like factory…

While I do believe GM gets a bad rap and is legitimately doing things better, they spent the Malaise Era churning out awful cars that showed an utter contempt for their consumers. It’s hard to forgive that.

The only thing is that the 6th gen Si’s suspension is better than the RSX-S’s. In fact, I don’t think Honda has ever done a better suspension on the Civic than it did with the 6th gen Si and the ‘01 Integra Type R.

Hummer needs to be revived, right now. Everyone wants an CUV/SUV/truck, no one cares how long their loan term is, and this country is awash in fragile masculinity. A new lineup of Hummers will sell faster than GM can put the alternate body panels on their existing lineup of vehicles.

Something cooler for $10k? I mean...MR2s, 944s, WRXs (hell, WRX swapped 2.5RS’s from the same era as this Civic), FC RX-7s, 240Zs, Miatas, hell, Corvettes...The list of cars you can get in decent shape that are cooler than one of the more bland Civics ever is longer than a CVS receipt...

You and I must be from different generations if you can’t think of a cooler car than a Civic for $10,000.

I don’t find an RSX cooler than a 99-00 Si.

Can this Si be worth ten grand someday?
