While I dislike the slideshow format, I gotta say I really love this new series of Biggest Suckers.

Lazy ass NYT journo writes about something he has no idea about and gets it completely (and potentially dangerously) wrong.

Wow man. So I’m assuming you bought this used. Where did you buy it from? What were you told?

Not to be a one-upper, but I’m 6'4" and it works fine.  But yeah my kids are young.  Probably will no longer be fine when they are 10+

Oh holy balls that looks like a mutated new beetle accord baby.

I have a ‘19.  What’s going on?

Without deep snow, all the time, studded tires carve gouges in the roads and severely cut down roadway longevity.  Think potholes.. lots of them. Maybe a good idea if you’re a Canadian and/or in the great white north.  I’m way north in the PNW and regular studless snows work great.

As a GT owner, hear hear.  I’d go GTI on this one as well.  The eco is just a wasteful halfway move.

As someone with a 2019 Mustang GT and two kids, I politely disagree.  It’s not enormous, but it works just fine.

You say that like it’s a bad thing.

I’ll go with you, but let’s rent something over there that’s more fun on the ‘ring than a F-Fiteeeenhunnert

Ugly, extremely expensive, and “we don’t expect to sell many”... lol what’s not to love?!

Have you driven one? They’re utter crap. You’re not wrong about gas prices and the recession.. but neither is the other guy regarding the car itself.

Lots of good comments and points in here. What you need is to join the facebook (I know.. it’s a hellscape) group “Oversized Driving Lamps Work on Everything” if you haven’t already. Then you’ll get some really good ideas.

Was thinking too.. if I owned an EV and I had a choice between waiting 20 minutes at a Shell Lounge or getting 20% less of a charge at home overnight... I’d take the latter.

Agreed on the grubby lounge bit. If we could have trains like other countries.. namely Japan (as the ideal) or maybe Germany... I’d love to use those options. But if the US hasn’t gotten there yet, I don’t see us ever getting there.

This idiot is lucky there wasn’t a good guy with a gun and better aim at that intersection.

When it comes down to it, lots of people don’t actually want to kill anyone. Just look at all the idio... I mean people.. who want a gun in case they need to show/rack it to scare someone. I wonder if this dude falls into that category.

I had this happen one time with a (huge) windsurfer board.. flew off on I-5 in CA, went about 40' in the air, pirouetting gracefully, until landing with a crash in the slow lane. Thankfully nobody was hit or hurt. I saw the whole thing from another car we were taking.
