These prices are ridiculous, but another tidbit to consider: Ford will likely actually deliver trucks faster than Rivian. My coworker has had a deposit in for a R1T for a while and just got told “likely March 2023". Yeesh.

Exactly. It blows my mind when people want to spend ~$40,000+ on a depreciating asset to save ~$500 a year on gas. In reality most of these cases are really “I want a new car because I want it” (like you mentioned).
Install Big Block Chevrolet turbo’d 4 from a Honda and enjoy better performance than stock and Ferrari nerds (and maybe lots of other car people) losing their minds.
This one has a history of selling non-running cars. Nothing shady here.
You forgot the everpresent LS option
Bronx I’ll do the same thing I do in my mustang: take a deep breath and wait for my opportunity... and be glad I didn’t spend double (or... 6-7 times?) as much for the same scenario but without a stick.
What did you end up getting?
This has to be a troll post
It is all relative. If you want an unmolested one, they’re pretty rare.
My brother has the V6 EXL coupe! Great first manual fun car!
But even in a 720S, if you’re still on the street you’re still going as slow as the Camry in front of you.
Cachet. And I agree with your friend after driving both.
I miss Kristen a lot, but you’re also a good writer Rory. I’d like to pile-on and say I’d like to see another piece from you on this. Too bad you didn’t drive it too much.
These are so ridiculously overpriced though. Which I guess everything is so...
Ok wow. Where do you live? Is it Detroit? Because it sounds like Detroit.
If it was a real hot rod they would’ve dumped the transaxle and figured a way to get a manual in there. 10/10 would not buy.
@I tint my headlights so they work less
