These prices are ridiculous, but another tidbit to consider: Ford will likely actually deliver trucks faster than Rivian.  My coworker has had a deposit in for a R1T for a while and just got told “likely March 2023".  Yeesh.

Exactly. It blows my mind when people want to spend ~$40,000+ on a depreciating asset to save ~$500 a year on gas. In reality most of these cases are really “I want a new car because I want it” (like you mentioned).

Install Big Block Chevrolet turbo’d 4 from a Honda and enjoy better performance than stock and Ferrari nerds (and maybe lots of other car people) losing their minds.
