Hey Adam, nice job with the Neutral section.

What didn’t you like about the 3? I wasn’t a huge fan of the trunk, the chintzy controls, and the center-screen-only.. but other than that it was fine.

Good post, after the abrupt start. I don’t believe in conspiracies involving hundreds of people or ancient Egyptian hyperdrives, but the possibility that the metal version did something complex seems plausible. Complex like part of a weaving loom or dessert tray wheel or chimney flue apparatus... nothing more.

It wasn’t clear to me that this was an automated manual with no clutch. I thought “powerful V8 with a stick in a never-before-seen-by-me car... this is a contender!”.. but now I’m not so sure.

It looks like something is trying to fight it’s way out of there.  Like padding (or pieces) after an airbag deployed...

At first I thought you were going to say that looks stop to matter as you get older etc. etc. But what a twist!.. I think you’re saying marry the model with a prenup?

Hey Torch, in the video you linked to, they mention that Egyptologist Cyril Aldred believed it to be an artist’s copy of a metal disc that was much older and has since been lost to time. So it’s unlikely that this exact disc made of schist was used in a machine, but possibly what this disc was modeled after was. And

Lol show me one of these worth buying that is anywhere near $15k

What, cars? I’m confused.

Right. I’m old enough and I’ve had enough cars to know that if I don’t get what I want, I’ll just silently lament that the whole time and not enjoy what I did get as much. It’s better (for me) to simply wait and save and get what I actually want.

And then there’s the ones that actively try to turn you away. Went to a Cadillac dealership in 2016ish and asked to test drive a manual ATS-V they had. Got “we don’t allow test drives on that” and they abruptly turned to take care of.. something else? Shuffling papers it looked like.

So $15k for an already-rusting, purple-tinted, 35-year-old (with a slew of new stuff installed), 2WD van, that was as quick as my lawn mower when new, has no camping amenities, with repairs that possibly suggest collision damage? Not to mention “smoked” taillights, you know... so they work less.

Some have better no-thrust glide ratios than others. This Cessna’s ratio is around 1.5 nm per 1000'. An F-16's engine-out ratio is around 1 nm per 1000' (not great) and a 747's is around 3 nm per 1000' (pretty ok!).

You’re talking about my mother in law. She used to like to send us propaganda by mail brightly advertising that “gays should be put to death”. I kid you not. Continued attempts to poison my kids with that tripe, every gift is a religious one, and she was spamming my wife with hateful and threatening emails filled with

Right?! How about christian invocations at all military change of command ceremonies, no matter what audience members (who are told/forced to be there) do or do not believe. Needing religious affiliation to succeed in an election, in a country that espouses separation of church and state, is ridiculous. Yet here we

Didn’t say it was exclusive to the US. Did say it blows my mind that the US allows and enables religion-based psychosis. How does it feel to be comparing the US on a level field with a “Muslim country” in which “girls [are] getting killed... because they were raped”?  Doesn’t feel right or normal, does it?

A poison.. that comes with a great tax break, special breaks at work and school, and big helpings of good ol’ cognitive dissonance and hypocrisy.

Fucking right?! The way the US allows and enables this psychosis blows my mind.

Yeah 2.5 months to renovate the thing sounds pretty impressive. Kudos to them for that build!

Were each of these women under the impression that they were monogamous and exclusive with this guy? All of them? Bc if not, and it was unclear to me while reading, I don’t see the heartbreak story here. Just dating is just dating.
