Agreed on all points.

You call them tropes, I call them observations.

Do you mean he doesn’t go through the specs or how the engine works? I can read that online, as well as the history. He goes through the stuff that you’d only really encounter in day-to-day encounters, actually using and driving the thing. In other words, stuff that you can’t find on a spec sheet.

You fuckin weirdo.  I’m glad you’re here.

I’m hoping the Hyundai Prophecy turns out as good as it looks (from the outside)

So you disagree? On what part?

That last bit is pure, unadulterated, insecurity.

The idea that people are gonna buy the cars they like because they like them is sound. The comparison between large truck buyers and other vehicular demographics isn’t as clear. I was musing on this today after reading the article and your comment, and arrived at this thought:

I know, but to someone who only vaguely likes Ferraris.. it’s pretty close. And I remember that too!

But I need a Dodge RAM Power Wagon 2500 Heavy Duty Super Tough Big Man Edition Burly Bro Package so that I can carry mulch once a year, plywood every couple years, and an appliance once a decade!

Had a lot of fun reading lists and looking up anything I didn’t know right off the bat.. but I prefer pictures!

What are the cars?

Very specific, very specific, very specific... any Porsche. Why?

Have you watched the Demuro review of the Taycan?  I’m not huge fan of Doug’s, but I like how thorough he is.  I came away fairly nonplussed about the Taycan.

Your post has the air of a contrarian, but I have to admit that I like your list of cars the best so far.

I like the 328 GTS.. Magnum PI baby!!.. but I’d have to engine swap it.  Then probably brakes and trans too.  Just so it drives like it looks.

Kudos to the pilots! They train for that very thing all the time for sure, but it’s still fun when it actually happens in real life. Plus, with that long of a haul, I’m sure it was a super heavyweight landing... something that can be a lot more difficult than it sounds.

Right, this is dumb as hell. But I guess they got our clicks, which is all they wanted.

So I’ve definitely seen a fish (goldfish maybe?) freeze, thaw, and still be alive and swimming.  Turns out there are lots that can survive it.
