De nada.

Surprises me not one bit.

My instant recall was just a bit off, but here ya go:

Not exactly true. She's been trying to kill public education here in Michigan for decades.

Average income, nationally: $55K/year
Average income, Clinton voter: $66K/year
Average income, Trump voter: $77K/year

WTF do you use to flavor fries, malt vinegar or mayo? Or do you eat them- GASP!- PLAIN?!?!

That's pretty sweet- and much cooler than if it had been signed by Blue's teammate on the A's, Blue Moon Odom.

Racism isn't something that's identifiable by the shade of someone's skin. It's identifiable by actions- and sometimes by lack of actions. It's not something you get rename because it makes you uncomfortable that you might actually be guilty of it.

I'm a big fan of a number of phrases ("Green balloons", "I am aware of all internet traditions", etc.) that have been popular at a certain small but prestigious liberal blog, but I know that not a lot of people get them. C'est la vie, I suppose.

"ARE TROOPS" never approached the popularity of "MORANS".

this adptation of the middle book of the trilogy already includes elements of the preceding and succeding books already. Of the three, White Jazz is the least likely to stand on its own, IMO.

That's not shame you're feeling, Corey, it's embarassment.

It's the Buckaroo Banzai of baseball lit.

It's like a plane crash into a trainwreck in the middle of a NASCAR crash on a track full of mambas in the cargo hold of a sinking ship manned by a crew with bubonic cancerAIDS.

I recall Black Knight well. Fun machine.

8 Ball Deluxe is great, as long as you take care of the playing surface (it tends to quickly pit the ball if you don't). It was our favorite machine in the Brody Building of Michigan State when I went to school there in the…Well, a long time ago.

Regardless the facts that it's a fairly recent machine, and that more were produced than any other machine in history, The Addams Family is such a fun machine that it demands a lot of money on the resale market.

But Calvin Schiraldi couldn't, and didn't have enough of a history that anyone should have thought he could.

I remember all of this, except that the fact that you think that three innings was the norm for closers- especially young guys who went 4-2 in nine relief appearances. Schiraldi was no Gossage or Fingers. Hell, he was no John Hiller, fer chrissakes.

He left his closer pitch 2 2/3 innings! If he didn't pull Schiraldi- technically a rookie who pitched only 51 innings in '87- after the 9th, he sure as hell should have pulled him before he let a run score and two others on with 2 outs.
