*looks at RECALL BINGO card

Yes.

The Mustang is not at all dying, it will adopt EV powertrains just like everybody else. You do not need to go from being a 2+2 coupe to a shitty looking, stilt-wearing beluga of an SUV to make the step into the EV-driven future.

While I think you’re jumping the gun a bit on the demise of the Mustang, the point is that “Mustang” is not a brand, it is a single model. It has a bunch of variants based on that model, but a Mustang is a Mustang.  Now a Mustang is a Mustang... and also a CUV.. Mustang... thing.  They could have just called it a Mach

Simple answer is that EVs don’t need a full transmission, just a simple gear reduction. You can gear your motor to hit its RPM limit at a certain speed while still having enough torque at low RPMs to handle launching from a dead stop and driving at city speeds.

For people _without_ a plug - like those of us who have to deal with street parking or live in apartments... it’s a concern.

So, remember back in 1999 when you had a cell phone and a regular land line, because cell phone coverage was still kinda spotty and besides, having a land line was just what you do- the sound is better, there’s a book with your number in it so people can find you, it’s just the adult thing to do. I am a boomer. I drive multiple Ford cars from that era back in the day.  There was nothing redeemable about the Mustang II.

I think the new Corolla is both bland and hideous all at the same time.

The trick is to allow students to answer science questions any way they want because of religious reasons.

I’d like to see these prized electrical engineers design the suspension, chassis, crumple zones, and drivetrain with their degrees. Engineers learn their real jobs when they graduate, but it’s silly to think that mechanical engineers are unnecessary. People who specialize in engines and transmissions do need to pivot,

I’ll agree our education system is broken, but I don’t think that has anything to do with a lack of apprenticeships for IT/electronics jobs.

Look a this guy!  Why don’t you want America to be GREAT again?  Enough with your fancy boy talk, we’ve got environments to ruin!

Politicians - take note. We need a massive investment into a retooling of our education and economy. One that actually looks forward.

“I’d rather walk.”

I’d rather walk.

This entire article is satire, correct?

Meh...

I’m betting that they didn’t want to spend the $$ to have the Cologne V6 FI emission certified by the Feds. They also probably had thousands of carbs in a warehouse somewere near Dearborn.

Back in ‘76, my parents almost bought one of these. After they put money down on one, I convinced them to take a look at a Honda Civic. They loved the Civic and it was $1000 less. The Ford dealer about had a heart attack when my parents said they wanted their money back and were buying a Honda. The dealer dropped the
