I was on a 35 ft sailboat last summer that had it’s motor replaced by a purpose built ‘marine’ electric drive. While the owner had shore power available, they used a pair of battery modules similar to the ones that company in Japan was doing for swapping batteries on mopeds. Each was about the weight of a 5 gallon

Batteries are a $25k option subscription.

Sadly, you’d have the same issue as electric trucks; towing capacity. You have to calculate how many concentric circles you could go around in dragging two overweight kids behind you on a blowup thingy.

I’m looking forward to all the bitching next week when people get home after being reminded how fucking awful holiday travel is. Especially airline travel.

Kids these days are bigger, have anxieties and at least one disorder. They each have to have their own row of seats or you are a bad parent.

And yet people are literally dying to get into your country...

As a bit of a wonk, I enjoy watching regulators tie themselves up in knots.

People started returning from college instead of the war.

If you have to ask, you probably can’t afford it. But you do get a star for inquiring.

??? Long drives are exactly why I am advocating for good arm rests. Long drives are all I do. Short drives are for walking/transit.

I now a guy who bought a mid 70's (I have to check exact date) Carrera new. It was the cool Kermit green. He drove the crap out of that thing. I mean really drove it. I was in my late teens and he would toss me the keys and egg me on to redline it whenever possible. Sadly, I could never sensibly afford that experience

You should always have both hands on the wheel. If there are no armrests that can be properly adjusted to support your elbows while your hands are on the wheel then GTFO.

What’s the biggest wheel/tire combo I can option this with?

I see blobby Buick.

As someone with an industrial design degree, this trend infuriates me to no end.

By “hybrid”, do you mean one foot in hell?

2nd Gear:

The spares are just decorative/poser. For 6M you will have a support vehicle follow you around to take care of flats.

Yeah, but once you fill that bed up up with mulch at the home center, 1200 lb-ft will barely get you out of the parking lot.

But it can help you get rid of it.
