As with last time, I’m really sorry you had to go through this experience. Keep on fighting!

THANK YOU for coming forward even if it didn’t end in a conviction (or even prosecution—damn). I know it must have been hard to put yourself out there like that. The more we stand up for ourselves, the less dirtbags like this will see this kind of behavior as acceptable.
Not at all. The difference is that it is difficult to show intent on sending an e-mail. Without something clearly saying “I intend to violate the rules,” intent is hard to prove in that case. (Whether or not intent was needed is a different issue not really germane to this thread).
I’m glad they’re helping, I doubt she can work any longer, and doesn’t need to be victimized as a single, disabled woman. (I get what you are saying, but horrible exploitative things happen to men, women and children in areas with no social safety net.)
Jackline Mwende, 27, says she was counseled by her pastor to try to save her marriage, despite escalating abuse.
Exactly. When I first read the headline, I thought it said “Infantile Man” and I thought, “Yep, that sounds right.” Except his temper tantrum was infinitely more destructive than a child’s, obviously.
MASCULINITY SO FUCKING FRAGILE
Comedy Central doesn't have a huge roster of shows. Weird to me that they couldn't keep this show around, especially in an election year.
Would rather have seen Trevor Noah go.
I have very little faith in the NFLPA to learn from it’s mistakes and do better, but I certainly hope they do. They could hardly do worse.
As a Packer fan, I support this message. Also, the Bears still suck.
Yup. It’s so simple, yet apparently for some an impossible concept to grasp. Some people are just not stable enough to be in charge of a killing machine. In fact, most people are not.
Sure, cause a man who breaks the law multiple times murdering his own children would be stopped by the magic piece of paper that is a restraining order. Good of you to blame her for his actions though. Violent men should always be shielded from personal responsibility, right?
We’d have the sentence “violated protective order” added into the story. She likely declined the order as she thought it would further aggravate the spouse.
how is it you guys haven’t done a wiping method comparison yet? jokes aside, if there is a hack here let’s hear it.
We know that restraining orders and criminal charges (with bail) don’t do much to stop batterers from murdering their partners in retaliation for police involvement or, as seems to be in this case, for the woman leaving him. So to me it only makes sense that the deadly weapons be taken out of the equation. There’s no…
While I think this is a great idea it seems that this dude went out and bought a gun the very fucking next day. Something more comprehensive needs to happen. Something that comprehensive is a thing too far for the American people it seems. Or at least the loud, angry, and red-faced American people.
It will never happen, but when the police are called to a domestic dispute, they should remove any and all firearms from the house, every time, regardless of whether someone is arrested. You should have to apply to get them back, and have your spouse sign that application.
So a man with a history of “domestic disputes” severe enough to warrant the police having to attend was legally able to obtain a gun with which to kill his wife. That’s an odd interpretation of a well regulated militia.
Agreed. I also wonder if this is the shit she’s going public with, how much worse it probably got. I wish she would take him for everything and ruin him. But then like my grandma always said, wish in one hand spit in the other, see which fills up faster
