Then I'm not sure what your point is supposed to be because you seem to have a problem with the idea of him claiming ignorance of popular music.

Definitely one the best live bands I've ever seen. They were in a super good mood when I saw them as well.
Not a lot of subtlety in this song is there?
But, the thing is popular music isn't as ubiquitous as you think it is. If you're an adult and you've been listening to your iPod instead of the radio, watching Netflix instead of TV, and not paying attention to any specific mainstream entertainment publications there isn't any place left to be exposed to popular…
They're not even as bad as people who pronounce GIF wrong.
Well… self-awareness is not something you'd expect from a rock star in their 20s. By the time a rock star rolls into their 40s they should be well aware that they're fan base has lived through all the shit they were once anxious about.
Counterpoint: I've drank with lots of people I'd never want to see in my house or introduce to anyone of consequence.
But, much of that is just part of the ubiquity of spam. Complaining about the general surface noise on the Internet is like going to the park and complaining about how some of the mud beneath the grass gets on your shoe.
Well.. actually.. the story of Metallica is that the band as an organization is deep in debt because they lost a shit ton of money on Through the Never.
Was this the guy keeping AC/DC off of mp3 and streaming services?
Both directly from the CCR boilerplate, asking rain related questions, and back by signature heavy strumming on the acoustic guitar. Though "Have You Ever Seen the Rain?" benefits from slightly more dramatic production. That organ that sneaks in near the end is beautiful.
There's some strong points in pop music including Like a Virgin, Vogue, Frozen, and Borderline. Her videos videos were generally good and also ubiquitous in the 80s and 90s which makes for a good Youtube nostalgia trip whenever my life feels too sad or complicated. I don't think I've really heard anything after Ray of…
Blue Rodeo also tends to play in the same places that orchestras play and about 1/10th as much as AC/DC.
I think it would be wonderful to have an SO that could make a meaningful contribution to my music collection. Even if she went to my favourite record store and said "I need a present for Andrew" and they just handed her the weirdest thing they couldn't sell (cause they know that I'd like that)
Variety is the reason they created the skip button.
I always loved the tone in the title track. You can never really have enough Venom.
Don't forget the immortal riff in the middle.
Unfortunately, racists use so much coded messaging that they're drawn to any hint of their idealism whether or not they're being mocked. It's no different than the resident pothead who thinks every some ever written was written on and about drugs.
KMFDM was sampling a lot of Slayer as well.
Slayer is the only one that kept some resemblance of hardcore in the formula. Rust in Peace is hands down my favourite album from the era and beyond that I've listened to a lot more Kreator, Celtic Frost, and Overkill than the big 4.
