I'm thinking more along the lines of a Superman, or Spiderman that spends a bit more more time moving around the city looking for the bad than expressing their feelings about it in front of a green screen. Let's have a little more fun getting the bad guy.

The first time I heard that song I was waiting at a traffic light and thought, this happened with "It's been awhile" and it's going to happen to whatever this piece of crap is.

I'm just waiting for a superhero series or movie that eschews all the dark and serious symphonics and simply uses funky library music from the 70s. The gritty 70s cop show vibe would be so much better than the mopey cold-wave-soap-opera crap we get now.

Well, no, The Black Album isn't simply different and is definitely a very concerted effort to give Metallica more mainstream appeal. That translates into more mid-tempo songs, a cleaner sound, fewer tempo changes, more sing-along choruses, and less stupidly sprawling jam sessions. It my be hard and heavy for you but

Not sure about metal specifically but this is some of the heavy music I've been listening to: Lecherous Gaze, Saturndust, Ufomammut, YOB, True Widow, Earthing Society, Earthless, Sigh, The Sword, Windhand, Guardian Alien.

With Dubya he was mocking his habit of making a serious pensive statement and then relaxing into weird uncomfortable smirk or even a chuckle. Just think of Mr. Burns saying "excellent." The impression demonstrated what a lot of people felt whenever Bush spoke. Stewart isn't playing a generic Texas stereotype, or

They deserve more credit for inventiveness than a lot of bands. Piles of great riffs, and killer guitar tone. Let's not forget that rock music is supposed to be fun.

Watching the bit only solidifies my opinion that it's unnecessary and zeroes in on presenting Hermain Cain as a reverend stereotype instead of the ridiculousness of his statement.

Once again, you've cleverly missed the point, Internet!

I think Cenac brought up a good point when he compared it to an Amos and Andy character. In general, the Herman Cain impersonation seemed completely unnecessary and it seemed to lean on exaggerating mannerisms that looked a lot like hurtful stereotypes. It just felt like they completely zeroed in on the fact that Cain

It's amazing how much subtle reference you'll find in each series. They do a good job of working things in a way that's not distracting or confusing to the 90% who wouldn't recognize the reference.

I was think about stuff like this when dialogue has minor discrepancies that eventually get labelled as continuity errors.

wo, man, you're not supposed to talk about things not working on Apple products until Apple finally issues a software fix, or new hardware arrives.

You have to remember that most people were angry at Microsoft because the icon for Internet Explorer appeared on their desktop.

It's never been that weird that a bunch of phony anti-corporatists would spend way too much of their time bashing a mainstream tech company, while worshiping one of the less popular ones. Now they're all shocked, SHOCKED!, when Apple would behave badly because they've always been able to make wild excuses for that

I'm going with "Hero" by Neu!

It's a deceptively restrained mid-tempo ballads that very few performers can pull off.

Also, it's not like you're in an industry where you can't build a profile on your own.

I'm sure everybody that's ever had an advertising budget is agreeing with you right now.

"The characters are caricatures of high school cliches who are bitter and do coke."
