There probably have been some subtle nods in Supergirl that I didn't catch, however anything from Earth-38 I'm taking with a grain of salt with any meaning in Earth-1. As for Shaw, my only exposure to him was his episode on Arrow. Nothing about the Lanterns came up in the little research I did on him then.
