Damn it, cannot be unread. I think you nailed him there.

On the flip side, instead of poorly cobbing together a bridge made of popsicle sticks, he learned the basics of Autocad (which is, indeed, NEEDLESSLY hard - “damn all user interface conventions” - Autodesk), likely learned how to secure material to the CNC, zero it out, understand the difference between outer cuts and

The depth information was my first thought. As amazing as this is, and it IS, getting depth information would allow future viewers to more fully appreciate and understand the technique.

Exactly this. I’d say he was a TOUCH off of what he was going for, but holy crap, I’d make the same mistake on a kit.

Meh. I think you might see it a bit differently if you read some of his other work. He had a bit of a way of writing anti-heroes as if they were heroes, and if you compare his works, you’ll see that there are strong anti government messages throughout. In ST, yes there is a strong push in the form of the franchise

“I’m a thirty second bomb!” I giggled, then thought about it and felt like I was reading pure terrorism. God I love that book.

So, you’re suggesting that we plug in our USB C cables into USB A ports?

but I don’t have your number... My Origin laptop’s GPU can be upgraded, albeit by THEM if you want to keep the warranty. That said, they are reasonably unique in this. It also uses a desktop processor. It ALSO runs for about 40 minutes on battery and weighs slightly more than a Nimitz class carrier.

Agreed. Also, try telling the massive number of people that are doing serious (really, I’m not kidding) music production on iPads that they’re dead. Then, try getting the same apps to run on a Windows box. I produce mainly on a powerful Windows machine, but I note that some of the best tools like Waldorf’s Nave synth

Oh - and I was happily surprised to find a sustain pedal button on the interface - something I wouldn’t have minded seeing on the RISE as a hardware button that didn’t require remapping one of the existing buttons.

I suppose I shouldn’t have been shocked that this connected instantly to my RISE, but it’s simply incredible. The sound quality is right up there with equator, and while I don’t have a 6S, connecting it to the RISE makes it perfect for impromptu performance. My ONLY qualm with it is that it doesn’t come with either of

This isn’t a Pebble plug, but someone wrote a pebble app that I’ve been using for quite some time that does the same. It’s got my Google, Microsoft, Facebook, Lastpass..... on and on logins on it. It’s stored as my “hold UP button” shortcut, and I use it 10+ times a day.

It’s always nice to hear from people with real world experience. My time at CalArts and in the recording booth taught me a few things, but I’ve only spent a few dozen hours behind the mixer myself. I, for instance, didn’t know that movie sound tracks were mono, but given how little of what we hear in movies actually

It’s beyond annoying that such a great product has far better developer support than customer support.

I believe you’ll find it’s ACTUALLY that the first thing you will lose will be your feet below the ankles. Then your hands at the wrists. Next your nose.

The basic answer is that ATLskydiver is correct. This is an example of a VR video as we use them in the technologies we use today:

To be fair, they offered their backers (like me) the ability to switch AFTER trying both in their own homes, and at a discount.

I know I missed the deadline on this one, but I’m reminded of a company I worked at near Simi Valley, CA. They had about 15 servers and a great big Netapp Filer colocated at Exodus in El Segundo. One day, towards the end of the day, I go from thinking business is booming to “We haven’t paid our colo bills in 3 months

As you’ve already read, these are not just stereo microphones. The placement and configuration do in fact give a very real sensation of being able to place objects in three dimensions when listened to with headphones.
