I think my dipshit senator Joe Donnelly is going to vote to confirm Kavanaugh. I called his office to leave a message voicing my displeasure with that. He’s already on my shit list for his voting record. I think I’m to the point where I’m going to write in Nick Mullen because I’ve gotten more out of a podcast called

Always an evergreen tweet.

Last week, my newspaper group had layoffs. My paper lost our only sports writer and an advertising rep. We now have a staff of four reporters including me. Ringers handle all of our sports stuff. They also want to cut costs further by moving the four reporters, our editor and another employee into one room in our build

I dont know why people are bringing up that incident during the 2008 campaign, its not as positive as they think. While he said some nice things about Obama, he said he wasnt an Arab, as if being a good person and Arabic is mutually exclusive. I assume that woman felt that Arab was euphemism for terrorist.

My favorite thing about Splinter is how the comments will invariably be filled with neoliberal dipshits, lanyard dorks and donut twitter denizens.

Now playing

Guess he’s finally doing something to help out Adam Friedland’s dad.

It wouldn’t surprise me if they were interested in Candace Buckner, she does good work, I especially like her features. She covered the Pacers for several seasons. I still try to read her WaPo stuff from time to time.

And-1!

Thats what I heard, I think Felix said something like that on the stream. Ive started MGS 2 and its a definite improvement, the controls feel smoother. But on the other hand, it was kind of cool to get a good facsimile of the 1998 experience. I can see why people love this series, its weird and idiosyncratic and

Felix Biederman did a Twitch stream of MGS about three weeks back. He died so much that someone in the chat joked about it being MGS: Jared Kushner. I played MGS for the first time last fall, I found the controls a little clunky from a modern standpoint, but it was a fun game and I really liked all the stuff like Psych

My favorite recent genre of story is some dude who has a dream job but fucks that up by saying the N-word. I enjoy it purely for the schadenfreude.

I always think of those two verses in Newman’s “Redecks”

A screaming comes across the sky. It has happened before, but there is nothing to compare it to now.

Im not expecting Pynchon, but he’s very bland compared to a lot of other writers who cover the same or similar beat. A lot of his stories seem like they could be better in the hands of a better reporter. He doesnt really have a strong voice as a writer, he’s pretty forgettable.

Will do! In general, Ive been pretty pleased with a lot of the writers on their roster, they’ve definitely nabbed some good basketball writers. I like the Star’s coverage generally, but haven’t enjoyed as much as when Candace Buckner covered the beat.

I signed up for The Athletic today since they have an Indiana beat. Not wild about Scott Agness covering the Pacers. He gets access but his prose is workmanlike.

Suck my dick from the back, fascist.

I think its also important to note that Heather Heyer was a socialist a member of the Democratic Socialists of America and the International Workers of the World. Far too often her politics aren’t mentioned and I think thats a disservice to her and her memory.
