I so desperately want to believe that this game will be out before year's end. I just don't think that I can put myself through the pain of another Polyphony Digital delay.

@Andrew Aul: ...and that got me thinking. I may have the chance to touch a Cosworth this weekend. All-Ford Nationals in Carlisle, PA celebrating the 25th anniversary of the Merkur brand and euro Fords in general. Everybody that's anybody should be there.
@Dirt Pirate: We'll call that #4. I passed on racing heritage because it didn't build my Mercury case... but yeah, that car is absolutely legendary. I would do just about anything to drive/own/touch a RS Cosworth... *sigh*
My insurance card says I have a "Mercury Merkur XR4Ti"... I pick that one. Who cares if I'm making a stretch here? Let me explain:
There's nothing inherently wrong with Nascar on a motorsports level, but this is the biggest turn-off from the sport for me. We can crack "That there Nascars is fer them back-woods folks!" jokes all day, but it's guys like this that really define Nascar on the whole. Sure, not all Nascar fans are inbred racists, but…
@Maxichamp: I love it when people have no idea what my XR is. That's half the fun of having it.
@twitchykun(lvl. 75 JDM Hoon): I actually thought that was a Merkur Scorpio at first... similar front end.
@roninpenguin: People seem to forget the Ford 2.3t entirely.
Mention my Merkur XR4ti and people either light up or give the "deer in the headlights" look.
I was genuinely disappointed when I realized that the vehicle came from INSIDE of the building. I was hoping for a sequel/tribute/gross display of one-upmanship to the guy who piloted the Malibu last week.
You should've seen the look of concern on my face before I read that plate.
