I never said that. I was simply responding to "Chevy motors are how Fords go fast," because that's simply not the case. I've owned an LS fbody, and it was an awesome powertrain.

The article and prior poster was specifically talking about LSX swaps, which is why I addressed them. And they're not comparable motors IMO. The mod motors and LS family are within a few years of each other. A more fair comparison would be BBF vs BBC, SBC vs SBF. All I was saying is that mod motors go faster than LSX

I'm not discounting their motors at all. It's all good stuff. Totally agree on the cost being cheap.

I daily a 2003 Eddie Bauer and love it. It's a great truck. Comfortable, stupidly reliable, and is perfect for hauling my dogs and drunk friends around. I plan on replacing it with a new once it shits out, but it barely has 100k, so I don't expect that to happen for awhile.

That would be my guess. Maybe they'll do something like that for 2016, kind of like introducing the 5.0 in 2011 after the 2010 refresh.

I'm assuming (without having watched it) it's a t56 6 speed. Their overdrive gears are stupid low.

LS1 F bodies are getting really cheap. You can get decent ones for under 6k. They handle pretty well, have the reliable, powerful, LS1, and they're stupidly simple to work on. That's what I wanted when I was a teen.

I loved mine that I use to have, and loved the power of the 4 valve 5.4. I didn't love the fact that it was AWD instead of 4WD and got 10 and 14 mpg on a good day.

Yup, the M6 in the new Mustangs is pretty fucked.
