I know you're poking fun at runners in general, but nothing makes me laugh more than a runner with gels or a fluid belt at a 5k.
I've had a different reaction than those I've read here thus far. I immediately loved the setting and the characters and tore through series one over a weekend. I then eagerly awaited series two and finished it in a day. Just a great bunch of actors and a fun story line. I also enjoyed the tone and the setting.
