This is 100% true. Children are the first victims of any war or disaster or kind of abuse. We give them lip service but very little actual respect or protection. Even pretending to value children as a group is rather new, historically (which I think is tied in with hegemonic patriarchy, but I digress).

OK, given that all parties are still receiving an obscene amount of money... Mark Wahlberg, who once lectured a plant on film, gets $68 mil while the highest paid actresses top out at $26mm? I knew it was bad but damn, that’s really bad.

Me neither. The most I have ever done was tidy it up a bit. I actually don’t get the whole shaving thing. Why all the disgust over a perfectly natural part of our bodies? There is nothing wrong with pubes and I actually like looking like an adult down there instead of a prepubescent.

My husband recently got a new trimmer, after a few months of neglecting the process. I don’t care either way, really, but after his trimmer arrived and he showered, he emerged from the bathroom and announced, “You should see him. He looks ten years younger.”

I bought some actual pet clippers at the pet store, so I can say I take my poodle to the groomers.

Good god, the only cut that bleeds more/longer than a scrotum clipper nick is a razor blade nick of the top of your ear (which only ever occurs when you need to meet clients in the hotel lobby in 15 min). Painless, but an ear nick will bleed for 11 hours.

Which is why this lady just doesn’t bother.

I would have suggested to him that perhaps FedEx should switch to packaging services, since they obviously know so much about it, and ceased their shipping operations since half the shit they ship winds up broken or damaged.

That is beyond inspirational. Its so hard to just plow on through in being direct with some weasel whose trying to talk down to you and put you in a place where you cant respond. To not hesitate and to snap back without trying to be “nice” about it.

I really like her. We don’t agree all the time but holy crap to win via write-in is amazing.

Murkowski gets an extra gold star because she won by running outside the Trump dominated Republican party (via write-ins) in ruby red Alaska. So she’s got the extra anti- Trump/McConnell juice of “I owe you nothing”

Agree for sure about Collins and Murkowski. Ever since Trump got elected, women in government have been the grownups in the room.

A big reason McCain is getting the accolades is because he disrupted his surgery recovery to vote to begin this 3-ring circus. I’ll never forgive him for that. This mess didn’t need to happen.

I had the same thought. He looks like a store-brand version of Clooney, but one of the nicer store brands.
