This episode was a lot of fun. Not everything has to be a cataclysmic world ending disaster waiting to happen. Some things can just be...fun, y’know?

I can’t help but notice that there’s now a puzzling trend of female leads from the MCU not showing up on What If…?

All right, who had Barsanti giving a bad review to a fun episode after whining the day before about how the episodes were too dark?

Oh, everyone did. That’s right.

“Why, it’s almost like the show has been quietly setting up some kind of arc for its narrator, but would could have possibly seen that coming?!”

Would could

Title of “What if... Thor was an Only Child” left me wondering if that means Hela just never existed in that universe either, but sadly, it wasn’t part of the story (I say sadly because having Cate Blanchett pop up to goth out the party a little would have been fantastic).

Also Selvig doesn’t show up in person but he

First time, long time here, calling to see if I’m the only one here, but I’m genuinely perplexed by this reviewer. I am rather convinced that we’re watching two different shows.

I really enjoyed Josto and Gaetano being buddy-buddy as brothers for a few episodes, which has been a way more fun interaction than Gaetano looking around at stuff creepily. Gaetano being the reasonable one in various interactions was fun, too.

Satchel Cannon died on a lonely road in Kansas. Long live Mike Milligan.

Whenever I find out a cop likes The Punisher I get really nervous.

It’s the basic fascist mindset: “Our enemies are so weak compared to us, but they’re also incredibly powerful.”

It’s a sadly effective way to both appeal to people’s patriotism and get them good and scared.

Remember when cops unironically wore the Punisher’s symbol, and Marvel had to put out an issue of The Punisher explaining why the Punisher is anti-cop in every conceivable way? As in, he is the OPPOSITE of what cops should aspire to be?

Honestly, if Hillary Clinton and Obama were capable of every crazy conspiracy right wing nut jobs think they are, they SHOULD be in charge.

Once again, I have to point out how Trump brags about all the things he can do as Commander in Chief. His supporters are so convinced the Bidens are this corrupt criminal family and yet... why isn’t their boy doing anything about it? The Homelander imagery/metaphor aside, why hasn’t Trump locked him up? Or the

I still remember Trump tweeting out the clip of Thanos saying “I am inevitable” which I thought at the time was ironic considering that was literally the last line he spoke before losing everything.

Let’s not forget that leaders of this party and Trump’s re-election have gleefully compared to Trump to Ivan Drago and their campaign to the Death Star. They have regularly used iconography of the villains AS PROMOTION without concern. This should be shocking, but I’ve lost all capacity for shock a long time ago.

I LOVED this episode - and I think our reviewer really needs to go back and watch A Serious Man. As soon as I made the Kansas - Wizard of Oz connection, I knew they were going to bring in the tornado. I’m so glad they also brought in the religious/philosophical aspect too.

Nvm about the dog. Rabbi asked whichever Testament is the one where you’re reborn.

>“East” and “West” is probably supposed to mean something

Well you got a racist cop ready to shoot a kid and a Wounded Knee soldier who is called a hero.  Perhaps you are on to something.

Maybe it’s because I’m a screaming Antifa Liberal Monster - and as such I wear those colored glasses on my face - but everyone around that dinner table seemed to me to be an aspect of modern conservatism. I mean they are in Kansas, after all. “Here you go Satchel, the future is now... try and figure this shit out for

Favorite episode of the season. To me its how Satchel Cannon becomes Mike Milligan, hence the black and white to color.  Also pretty sure that billboard is a nod to Mike Milligans speech about being the future.  It was a quirky character study that was throughly entertaining.
