From what other contestants have said in the reunion episode and in interviews, Shake got a pretty good edit during the season and was even worse than he seems on the show.

Yea see I’m not like that at all. I have one gun in the house (as does my now-wife) but at the time I didn’t own any. This was back in like 2005-ish too. I had a great job, good friends etc.

I can’t think of a single show I watch because I aspire to be one of the characters. That’s such a weird accusation.

He’s an extremely talented comedy writer

Hey, look at what happened *last friggin’ month* to Bridget Fonda after some-20 years of fading into obscurity: a fucking paparazzo figured out where she lived, *staked out her house*, and took photos of her looking like a normal middle-aged mom. She had gained a lot of weight and some of the press were rather cruel

I am more sympathetic, I guess. I think the article is about living with shame, disappointment, and fear of being judged for “letting yourself go.” Look at the recent coverage of Kelly McGillis. Well-known people are not allowed to fall into obscurity when there is news to be made for showing unflattering pictures.

One of the things creators seem oblivious to is that any storyline can work if it’s written well, and generally audiences are responding not to the storyline but to its execution. You can have the same discussion about Dany in GoT - her going bad was fine! It was foreshadowed plenty. But the episode/season where it

“What are you going to do, smother him with his MyPillow?”

It will all be worth it if Che Diaz simply says to Miranda “I have to go now. My planet needs me.” and rockets into the sky.

Rogan only pushes back when an expert proves him wrong. Then Rogan doubles down. Like when he had a doctor on a few weeks ago who said that the risk of myocarditis is higher if you actually get COVID than the myocarditis risk associated with vaccines. A credentialed expert said it directly to his face, but because

I did Noom a little over a year ago and it seemed helpful for a bit. The food and exercise tracking kept me mindful of my daily routines. I slowly lost some weight and I started to be hopeful I might be on track to lose more, but, as always seems to happen when I do a diet/exercise plan, I plateaued...hard. Weeks went

Che’s ‘stand-up’ can’t even be called comedy. She’s more like a self-help guru, or motivational speaker. She just yells self-congratulatory statements and toxic-positivity platitudes like “If you don’t like your life, change it!” Which apparently blows Miranda’s mind because she never knew such a thing was possible

This show is maddening. The hypocrisy of Miranda repeatedly cheating on Steve after everything in the first movie is infuriating, and more so that she never seems to question if she is doing the right thing. The lack of any kind of remorse is frustrating.

Someone else pointed out (possibly on this very website - I don’t remember where I saw the remark) that there’s an odious double standard when it comes to cheating in movies: when a man cheats on his wife that’s inexcusable, but when a woman cheats on her husband it’s OK provided it’s with a woman/non-binary person

Also I was sure one of the fans in the diner was going to say, “...and you slept with another of my friends in Cleveland!” but maybe that was on purpose... like with the whole stairwell conversation clearly - and very clunkily - meant to make us think we knew where it was going and then it didn’t. Not cute, those

I always appreciated how this was done in the original series...it was never quite clear exactly how much time had passed but there were subtle clues to it that felt real and lived-in. But it’s not being recreated here and it’s so frustrating!

True. Where is Miranda even staying now? Is she still living with Steve?

Whenever someone has to repeatedly tell you how nice they are, that’s a secret clue that they’re actually not very nice.

That profile does not do him any favors — he comes across as extremely entitled, narcissistic and plays the victim, believing that he has never done anything wrong. He blames C-PTSD, which he may actually have (no way for us to know) but seems to have learned absolutely nothing from alleged years of therapy and

“What is this obsession people have with books? They put them in their houses like they’re trophies. What do you need it for after you read it?”
