What kind of electronics are you using that if you roll over on them they'll shock you???

For myself, the photo that caused me to tear up was the one of her in the recliner with people surrounding her. My father lost his battle against brain cancer in 2005. Instead of a hospital bed he opted to sleep in his La-Z-Boy recliner at the end. That photo is basically what our family room looked like when he died.

There's a humongous thread about this on the imdb forum. I think after reading through some responses there it seems Natalia gave "vague consent" to what Adam was doing. She didn't say no until he was going to splooge on her dress. She obviously didn't want what was happening to happen, at least not in the way it did.

How are they not two different blogs? I get that they're both part of the larger Gawker brand and sometimes posts from one Gawker site get cross posted to others. With that said, I'm under the impression that Jezebel has it's own writers with distinctly different opinions and priorities than *I can't be bothered to

Hah, it's just a thing I've noticed. A lot of people argue against "legislating morality" but I figure if it's bad for the community on the whole then why the hell not tax and regulate it and use the extra taxes to do something beneficial?

This is really far from how I function, so I don't feel like I can really get a feel for what it's like to not have enough money for my necessary expenses yet still spend money on 100% unnecessary things like soda.

Yeah, subsidizing corn is becoming such a piece of antiquity that I can't believe it's still done. Particularly with the demand for corn in venues that don't involve food at all. If corn wasn't subsidized it'd have a similar effect as taxing sugary, empty calorie foods, right? It would just make foods with a lot of

I can totally relate to this, I don't smoke, I drink very moderately(3ish drinks a week average), I've gambled once in my life, and I don't buy sugary beverages(though my diet soda habit is a very real, very regular thing). But Even so, I feel like paying $5 for a 2 liter of soda would only disuade me from drinking it

I really do agree with this. I thought at least a portion of most sin taxes, cigarettes, alcohol, gambling (the ones I can think of) do in fact support positive things like addiction counseling. I think the taxes should be used to help people, not line a bureaucrats pocket somehow. I don't 100% understand the idea

What's wrong with taxing the stuff? You can get a 128 oz. SUPERGIANTBIGGULP, but it costs you $5 instead of $1.69. I am apparently a huge fan of sin taxes.

I don't understand why you're bothered. Are you bothered that people think you have a skittish dog due to said ribbon? Why do you care about peoples perception of your dogs needs?

I had this same reaction. I mean, it's not like $4,500 seems outrageous for a decent family vacation, but it's by no means a "budget" trip. Why label something so obviously NOT "budget" as a trip to Disney World? Is that really what society is coming to, that a trip to Disney World is seen as the bottom of the barrel
