I like him too. and I also like Rollo. They are complicated. They are living in the shadows of their brothers and they are both tortured by it. As terrible as their actions are, there is still that fragile ego that you just feel bad for. That scene where that little pissant, Sigurd taunts him broke my heart.

I agree. I always marveled over how gracious she's been to Aslaug and her children. Made her seem so much more awesome. I love how even in that scene, she was so worldly and poignant. Her never showing any bitterness made that line cut straight to the heart.

Ragnar has deep regrets that he ruined his relationship with Lagertha over Aslaug. In comparison she comes up so short. He made amends with everyone except her before his suicide attempt. That really puts in perspective how little he cares for her.

The only two people smart enough to capitalize on that are Frank and Svetlana and neither one of them is paying attention.
