Man, this is sad. My father had TCM on nonstop in the hospital a few months ago as he withered and died slowly. My last memories are riffing on movies with him and telling Orson Welles jokes. It was so great to hear his laugh a few final times. He sure loved his TCM!

Here’s hoping the call was about Zaslav selling it to them. He doesn’t give a shit, needs all the cash he can get to get the debt down so he can sell WB to some other schmuck. Let a channel like that be owned by people who actually give a shit.

Please keep your hands off this one, Zaslav.  TCM is one of the rare remaining cable channels that still feels like it still has a unique identity, that isn’t the usual slop of original programming, reality/competition shows, and reruns.

Yup. I call this “can’t win, don’t play” when dealing with certain members of my family. You just do what you think is right and don’t care about what they say about it because you know they are not going to be happy no matter what you do. It is very freeing.
