Dropbox is the winner in my opinion; works flawlessly on My Mac & PC (XP & VIsta).
I've been trying to get an invite to Drop Box for sometime with no luck. I looked at Syncplicity and was disappointed that they do not have Mac support yet.

I second the pre-selection method. I try to delete undesirable photos right in the camera or selectively download the good ones using Image Capture (Mac). During this step I also rotate any photos that were taken in vertical orientation.

I really miss the float signature feature in the new Better Gmail 2. I have to constantly cut it from the bottom of my replies and paste it above the original email. What a pain :(

My biggest gripe is with support for Wireless cards. I've been trying to install Ubuntu on an old laptop, everything works except the wireless card; so I can't connect to the Internet, thus making Ubuntu unusable for me :(
I've had mixed results with the Mail Hold request done online. The first time I used it to put mail on hold while on vacation, I got a confirmation and the PO did hold my mail, however when I used the online service again another time (while I was away for a month) , they did not hold my mail and I found my mail-box…
I like the functionality; however, if it uses the amount of resources Chris mentioned, I would hesitate to use it.
I see more and more people using email as text-message, and this is a trend that's going to continue as the next generation moves into the workplace.
I second OnyX for regular maintenance.
I typically reuse the blank side when I want to print something temporarily, make notes, sketches, and storyboards etc. When I'm finally done using both sides I recycle the paper.
