Google is simply doing what older companies have been doing for years. They are purging the “oldies”. Rest assured that in two years they will have as many employees as they do today. The higher cost “oldies” will be replaced with lower paid recent grads and offshore workers. If you do not think age discrimination is

Dealerships add zero value,  but lots of cost, to the buying process.   The pandemic proved that most will price gouge given the opportunity.   The only reason they still exist is that they line the pockets of politicians.

What a load of BS. The source of funding for this “study” is blatantly obvious. To establish their claim of higher costs they added “time spent waiting for vehicle to charge”.

The experience after the sale is a big factor. When your Audi dealer charges $850 dollars to replace your battery, you tend to say “never again”.

Cars and bids has sold out its integrity.  I agree that it reflects badly on Doug.   Half the cars on there anymore are lowlifes looking to flip brand new vehicles.

Yes, Doug sold out his intrgrity and has become the stereotypical used car salesman. As a blogger he was very honest about steering clear of certain vehicles, now he advertises them as the best thing ever built. He has also become the go to site for flippers.  Money corrupts even the best.

Honestly, it brings me great joy to see these flippers getting burned. In recent months, half the vehicles listed on sites like Cars & Bids have been by flippers trying to gouge others.  Now those tables are turning.  Karma wins every time.  Hope they all lose their shirts, they are no better than scalpers.

Its the little details. The Alfa interiors feel cheap and plastic compared to Audi, BMW, even Mazda. The Stelvio has the suspension of a lumber truck, it is downright punishing. The Quad is incredible, but overpriced. That leaves you with only one choice, yet another 2.0 direct injection Turbo like everyone else. Oh

Currently the cost issue is largely due to dealer gouging. I would but an EV, but I am not going to pay the Hyundai / Kia Stealer $8k or more over msrp. 3 years ago when I bought my Pacifica hybrid, it was $5k below msrp.

Exactly.  VW offers an underpowered, overpriced car with fewer features and worse reliability than the Hyundai which looks identical if not better.  What could possibly go wrong with that formula?

The world has gone mad.

I am guessing his business is illegally modifying or ”tuning” diesels so others can be a-holes like he is. Karma is a B.

Just one more example of why the current, state protected, dealership model needs to die. In the age of the internet, anyone should be able to buy direct from manufacturer without dealing with crooked middleman dealerships who add zero value. Hyundai/Kia makes some nice vehicles. Too bad their dealerships are the

That is standard operating procedure for almost all Hyundai / Kia dealers. Tesla has it right. The stealership model needs to die.

Yes, the Quad is amazing, but extremely expensive. The 2.0 is underwhelming. I can’t afford the Quad, many better options than the 2.0, nothing from Alfa in between.

The bigger problem is that they are simply overpriced compared to a better equipped Audi, BMW, etc. The 2.0 is nothing special. The Quadrofoglio is incredible but is priced in the stratosphere. Also, no manual transmission offered.

Oops

I have a 2000 Malibu with less miles than most of their cars. I wonder is they will give me $18k for it!! LOL

Income disparity sets new records every year. When one percenters have more money than most countries, and pay lower tax percentage-wise than middle class Joe, dropping $2m on a car they will then register in Montana (to further avoid taxes) is like most of us buying new wiper blades.

Yes, they have tons of 5 star reviews from reviewers who have posted only one review ever. Just like the kind of shill reviews you can purchase in bulk.
