Surprised there was no mention of the Russion silver fox study. Belyaev showed that by exerting selective pressure, a captive wild silver fox population could be enriched for traits indicative of domestication in as few as 40 generations. Or inbred mouse strains for that matter; inbred strains display vastly different

Love this. Given Borderlands’ style of humor, in retrospect I’m surprised they didn’t call it that. And in response to the comments I got, I was being pedantic. I realize studios put out GOTY editions with all of the DLC. My point was that usually they have to at least win a GOTY award to call the edition that.

That’s a joke, right? Borderlands is fine/funny at times, but I’m not sure I’d ever call it a GOTY.  According to Wikipedia, it got a GOTY award from a site called RPGLand. Cool. Really digging deep there Gearbox.

I was under the impression Chicagoans in general prefer Chicago thin crust and leave the deep dish to the tourists.

This was my first thought after watching the anime as well.  My enjoyment of the anime is rubbing off on the game and might have been a deciding factor in picking it up.

Is there any indication if Telltale had scripted the story out prior to their closure and Skybound Games implemented what was written, or if Skybound was given carte blanche to end things as they wished?

Thanks for the clarification. In that case, I can understand people being miffed that a previously dioecious species would suddenly become single sex.

Are the Hrothgar actually considered to be the Ronso, or as you said in the article, merely modeled after them?  If the former, then people have a right to complain about the developers hiding behind the lore as a justification for the female-only Viera.  If the latter, then the status quo has not changed from a lore

The animation quality of Quintessential Quintuplets has been average. It’s not the worst thing I’ve ever seen, and conversely it’s not about to make me weep from the beauty of any of its shots. As the quoted tweet points out, it’s clear they spent most of their budget on the voice cast, which as a whole, has been

Rock, Paper, Shotgun has several really interesting interviews with the devs around when the game was released on PC I’d recommended looking up if this interview interested you.  Would love to see some DLC or a sequel to this game. I haven’t played it a lot recently, but it’s a hell of a lot of fun.

Finally got around to playing Dead Cells on Switch. Enjoying it so far. Will continue to chip away at Hitman 2, working towards 100%-ing each of the maps.

Nice to see Into the Breach get a nod, and best design at that. ItB was one of my favorite games of 2018.  Would have been nice to see Hitman 2 get recognized as well; for a certain type of player, that game (and Hitman 2016) are phenomenal.

Blizzard giving their blessing to the project...”

I recall Alton Brown from Good Eats (premiered 1999) and Bridget Lancaster and Julia Colin Davison of America’s Test Kitchen (premiered 2001) demonstrating this technique when cutting onions. If quarter the onion, first through the middle then by bisecting the root, you can then cut the side parallel to the root

Anywhere in the US that shares a similar latitude to DC has similar weather for the most part, assuming similar geographic features.  St. Louis, MO and DC differ in latitude by about 0.3 degrees and have very similar weather.  DC has milder winters since it is close to a large body of water, but they both have very

The expansion teams are doing so well, for the most part (looking at you Washington), because they had the luxury of being built while GOATs was the dominant meta, in the same way that the inaugural season teams were built while Dive was the dominant meta. Most of the inaugural teams, and especially Valiant, have had

Is there a narrative explanation for this NiCO character looking all of 14 years old, other than the tried and true “she’s a super genius precocious teen?”

I have a Weston vacuum sealer, and I know at one point they sold canisters on their website.  I can’t seem to find them now, but I’d imagine there should be some form of cross-manufacturer support.  I know some handle liquids better than others, so that would be my only concern.

Reusable containers exist.  Check the website of the manufacturer of your vacuum sealer.

That Kirk Lazarus is pretty damn spot-on. Had to do a double-take as I was scrolling through.
