I laughed whilst listening to the podcast upon the realization that neither Kirk nor Jason know how to pronounce “vicar.” Clearly they did not watch BBC sitcoms on PBS with their parents growing up.

Science has abandoned testing hypotheses and instead has gone with the “play with shit until shit happens” model? Wow, good to know. I can stop calling Mad Scientists in the movies unrealistic, I guess. Wow.

TurboTax has a field for additional estimated tax payments. To my recollection, neither the IRS nor my state have sent me any physical documentation acknowledging any payments. I make my payments online, so I have a digital history of payments made for both on their respective websites.  Otherwise, just keep track of

And finally, the monkeys’ identical DNA might instead be a weakness.

If people think withholdings are bad, be happy you don’t have to deal with estimated tax payments. The actual calculations aren’t terrible, but it feels a lot worse to have to make payments directly after the fact versus just having that money withheld automatically from my paycheck.  Also, if you get an irregular

I’m actually kind of annoyed by this.  The devs did a major cop out in saying it would be very difficult to bring it to Switch, so not to expect anything, and then announce it’s coming to Switch like three weeks later.  I already bought it on Steam because of the aforementioned dev update.  It was only $20, but c’mon,

If you don’t care about spoilers, you should watch HeyZeusHeresToast’s all bosses (AGDQ2018) and any% (AGDQ2019) runs. Not only are they hilarious, but they’d probably be pretty informative. He uses a couple movement glitches and skips, but for the bosses, it’s pretty much just all execution.

My immediate thought when hearing Kirk’s music pick (“Overtime” by Knower) was that it reminded me of Persona 5's soundtrack and singer Lyn Inaizumi.  Was then funny to hear Jason say the same thing a couple of minutes later.

Diving back into a new AC: Odyssey save file after I finally decided that my previous 45 hour file was bugged and probably wouldn’t be patched to fix it (the transmog system wasn’t applying retroactively); later discovered that it is a disclosed bug by Ubisoft that has no timetable to be fixed, so no great loss I

Is there an office betting pool going on the number of times Jason will die in Bloodborne?

To confirm, there is an option for English or Japanese audio at startup, right?

The transmog system is a pretty big draw; I’m going to be pretty bummed if it’s broken on my save file.  Nice (unfortunately) to hear it’s not an isolated incident.

I haven’t checked my file since I downloded the patch a couple of months ago, so hopefully it’s fixed itself in the meantime. Been looking forward to picking it back up with the DLC.

Unrelated, but was the transmog system ever sorted out? I’d read it was supposed to apply retroactively, but after I’d updated my game (save file had about 45 hours on it), all of the armor options remained greyed out.

Dead Cells was an IGF 2018 Finalist/Honorable Mention, along with Celeste and Into the Breach.  Given the amount of hype and coverage all three received in 2018, none of them did particularly well at the awards other than Celeste.

I never saw anything online about it being a widespread issue or not, but interesting to know that it was not an isolated case.

That’s a bummer, especially given the scarcity of the Wii at the time. Nice of them to just give you a new console, rather than making you wait while they repaired your broken one.

The Switch AC adapter that came with my launch console was dead out of the box, as in, it would not provide power to the console. I’d purchased a second launch Switch in the hopes that the console might some day be hacked and require original firmware, and confirmed that that AC adapter worked and would charge the

Agreed.  I quite like the Klipsch computer speakers.  These headphones look and sound pretty attractive, but I’d be hard pressed to give up the additional features of the AirPods.

Not going to lie, I read that as Karen Gillan at first and was intrigued about Amy Pond’s new career as a comics writer.
