Yeah, it seemed like a strange thing to get into a fit about. IIRC, the article in question cited the new Pharah skin as like some bastion of Egyptian cultural representation. Really, the one with the hieroglyphics plastered on it and the asp stuck on her head? If you want to have a conversation about cultural…
I was happy to see that, as of the last time I checked, that article only had about six comments and they were all some flavor of “this is a bad and/or stupid take, why did you write an article about this of all things?”
Curious if this will affect them getting amiibo exclusives moving forward. Toys’R’Us and Target always had the worst experiences, either with camping out or trying to place online pre-orders. Amazon, Best Buy, Wal-Mart, and for the most part GameStop have competent online presences that generally facilitated easy…
Ah, thanks for clarifying further. When I looked it up originally, it just gave Artoria. Which, to be fair, most of the figures are of her. Also: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Saber_(Fate/stay_night)
Fate is absolutely huge in the scale figure community. For the longest time I didn’t know what “Saber” was (for those who don’t know, it’s a character from this series), I thought it just referred to figures that had swords.
Polygon had a hot take opinion article about how the skin dramatically missed the mark: “All in all, the design seems to really miss what makes D.Va, well, D.Va.” Their takeaway was that gothic lolita is a Japanese thing, not South Korean, therefore Blizzard thinks all Asians are the same or that all Asians are…
I kind of have the opposite problem, honestly. The ratio of games I own and have played relative to the games that I have actually beaten must be astronomical. I at least start most of the games I buy, if not put at least 20-30 hours (or drastically more in some cases) into, but then I just get sidetracked and start…
I like FFX, but just going to drop this here.
I remember reading about some canon radio play (?) that continues the story after FFX-2’s 100% ending and it being batshit, like, way beyond normal Square Enix levels. I can’t even remember if it had a happy ending or not; not because I literally don’t remember, but because it was so unclear as to what was happening.
I heard about these on Twitter and thought they were a joke. Hope those are prototypes, because they look like bootlegs.
A lot of them are available on Youtube if you know the name of the scene in question. Not ideal, but it is what it is.
So now I feel more comfortable waiting for the Switch version, I suppose.
Kind of spoilers, but in one of the heart-to-heart scenes, one of the player characters tells another to “die in a fire.” How is this game not great?
Any hot take on why Dallas keeps getting their ass beat, like hard? I feel safe saying that going into OWL, they were the favorites of the American teams. Losing to Seoul wasn’t that surprising, and they put up a pretty good fight. They got demolished against LAV, which seemed to come out of nowhere. The first two…
There was a recipe similar to this one (boil in milk and don’t drain) on America’s Test Kitchen two weeks ago I think. Remembered thinking it was an interesting method. Wonder if no-roux, no-drain mac and cheese is just in the zeitgeist right now.
Based on your reporting from yesterday, I was planning on picking up Ys VIII on PC at the end of the month. But considering my backlog, I probably wouldn’t get around to playing it until it was released on Switch anyway. Aside from the graphical differences and portability of the Switch, is there a reason one might…
Apparently there is a nascent modding community for ME:A. Debating picking it back up with a couple of mods that rework the crafting system and seeing if that helps anything. Maybe there are some Bethesda-eque modes that tweak the models and animations as well.
Does this count as one of the new games with a battleground mode for Jason’s predictions?
One hiccup that I can see is that FreeSync only works with AMD cards. Not the end of the world, but just an FYI.
