I’m obviously not the target market for these toys (though I am an amiibo collector), but the pricing strcuture on these toys seems a little insane. The $70 initial buy-in is somewhat understandable since you are basically getting the game included (though since it is free to play, this is less clear), but $10-15 for

Yeah, I randomly stopped by my local BestBuy on a whim to see if the reports of the Majora amiibo restocks were true (they were, but I got there too late), and one of the employees told me they were getting more Switches in today.

Awesome guys, been really looking forward to this. Can’t wait to listen to it.

I just got the email myself. Was hoping that I had gotten my order in early enough that I wouldn’t be hit by the cancellations, but apparently no such luck.

To be far, &pizza is a chain. A local chain, but a chain nonetheless. It even won “Most Popular Pizza Chain in DC” from Business Insider in 2016.

I was up at 11:45 playing Disgaea 5 Complete when I got the Twitter notification from the watcher accounts I follow saying they were available. Haven’t gotten an email saying my order was cancelled, so far so good right now.

Two questions: is the Persona 5 spoilercast still coming at some point, and from playing the beta do you think Destiny 2 is more of a sequel to Destiny versus Splatoon 2 and Splatoon? Mark MacDonald on the 8-4 Play podcast was giving Splatoon 2 so much shit for, what seemed at the time, to be a glorified 1.5.

Is Pearl supposed to look angry constantly? I watched the results video and she looked pissed throughout the entire thing.

Up to a certain point, the easy answer is yes. From my understanding, WoW is CPU bottlenecked beyond what a GTX 1080 can hit. I have WoW set to preset 10 in world and raid and get FPS from anywhere from 50-130, depending on where I am and what is happening. Once you start messing with render scale, even the 1080

I don’t want to imply that all of these fan game creators are stupid, but at a certain point, how can a person look at Nintendo’s track history of jealously guarding and protecting their IP, and think “it won’t happen to me, I’ll be the exception.” I’m not even sorry for these people at this point; it’s an exercise

Thought that was a splash screen for Splatoon 2 before I actually read it.

Considering I eat very little red meat, I guess I can chalk it up to just being uninformed, but I’d bristle at paying even $10/lb for ANY meat. I can bake a great pizza at home for like $4 and vastly prefer that to any steak, but obviously it comes down to personal preference.

That’s good to hear. As much as Blizzard tried to make the case that this isn’t true, raiding is the end all in WoW and if you aren’t raiding, playing ranked PvP, or pretty hardcore in the mythic + dungeons, then you’re kind of wasting your time in endgame WoW. There is other stuff to do, but it’s like a pyramid with

How much of the game is tied up in endgame raids? Is it like WoW, or is it less so? I hear you guys talk about the game quite a bit, but since I’m already invested in a semi-casual raiding guild in WoW (have heroic on farm by the end of the tier, nothing like mythic or anything), I don’t really have an interest in

They had a big problem with the setup times. They generally try to end early Sunday morning (like between 12:00 and 2:00 am) and this year they got delayed to past 6:00 am pretty early on. They got it back down to around 4:30-5:00 am towards the end, but for most of the marathon they were operating around 3-4 hours

The schedule this year maybe wasn’t as great as in previous marathons, but there were some real gems, including a lot of the ones that Jason mentioned above. Super Monkey Ball Deluxe was pretty good (the streamer sounded like Matthew McConaughey, saying “all right” after nearly every level) and so was Doom (2016),

100% isn’t impossible, there are already times posted. They are just like 40 hours. Meant more impossible to be done at GDQ.

Believe so. That’s where it’s been the last couple of years, so assume they’d keep the same venue, but I don’t know for sure. Drove out there for the first day of AGDQ this year. The hotel is pretty much in the middle of nowhere.

Yeah, I know. There was a reason why it was a donation incentive (it’s explained in multiple places on Reddit). Interested in seeing it headline AGDQ 2018, rather than footnoting SGDQ.

As with all of the GDQ marathons, can’t wait for the next one. AGDQ 2018 will run from January 7-14 in Herndon, VA. Really hoping BotW makes an appearance. 100% is an impossibility, but there are several other categories that could do well, the possibility of an any% race aside.
