It was just weird because it turned out the entire climatic arc after Dany’s death went to Drogon. Unfortunately, no one subtitled why I assume was a very eloquent dragonspeak speech on the nature of power and the illusions of the world of men in their quest for it. Bet it had a lovely reprise on love and duty....

Killing off Dany in the first half would have been less anticlimactic if something, anything had happened afterwards besides raw uncut denouement. They wrapped up the show by gathering all the surviving characters together and having them say “Uh, so now what happens?” Riveting stuff!
