If your 2 day shipping didn’t actually come in less than 2 days, you can contact Amazon for store credit every time it happens. It’s happened to me a couple times in the past few years and their customer service rep told me about the store credit.
My educated guess is that this has to do with Twitch’s integration with esports leagues, particularly OWL. The benefits of purchasing OWL Pass for additional content runs into some issues with keeping the regular stream inactive.
It’s not though. If you actually want to watch the game, the best viewing experience is a seat near the 50 yard line between 5-15 rows up.
While it's true they're operating at a loss, I think you're overestimating how much beat writers get paid. The incentive for some (most?) of those writers to jump ship might be contract length and job security.
