A- (and I'd re-grade last week's as an A)

Thanks for all of the recommendations! Whiskey is on my husband's Christmas list. Apparently a second son is not enough of a gift (joking—mostly)

Any whiskey recommendations? I need to buy some as a gift, and I have no idea what's good.

Monday Night Football? I guess this guy would take the smug Chris Collinsworth on SNF over Jon Gruden and his little boy haircut.

At least we Wisconsinites still have the Brewers, Bucks, and Badgers! Oh wait…

Can't please us all. I do appreciate the creativity that goes into coming up with different approaches to the various shows. I really enjoyed the weekly reviews, and I'm looking forward to Season 2. Are you tag-teaming the reviews again?

I prefer this year's unranked method to a ranked listing; however, I feel like The Americans got shorted with this "Best of" piece. The reviews throughout the season were great, and I was hoping for a bit more substance on the show itself—its themes, characters, setting, and place within the larger (closing) TV era of

I hope The Bridge gets an honorable mention. I think The Americans was better, but I'm really excited for season 2 of The Bridge, sans serial killer.

Are one of the Pruitts an AV clubber? As part of the Price is Right expert witness discussion, I remember a commenter volunteering his perspective on being part of an HGTV remodel show. I'm wondering if this is the same person, or if we have another HGTV expert witness to look forward to. (I mean that genuinely—I love

I used to work for a local parenting magazine, and the PTC would send us their newsletters. It was the most hilarious part of my day. Pair it with being assigned to read Jenny McCarthy's book on how her son was "cured" of autism (which we decided to not review, thankfully), and my intellect plummeted.

I preferred the scroll-y box thing where I could see all the headlines from the home page. I've been clicking on the "more" arrow at the top and then navigating to the Newswire from there, which I don't like as much. It's not as intuitive for me. If I weren't already looking for O'Neal's articles (a new AVC reader, in

On the plus side: no Pop Pilgrims ads to skip!

Sean O'Neal is a national treasure, and Newswire shouldn't require so many clicks to locate.

This was my first thought, too. Additionally, I don't want to sit at work and read an article in size 28 font that is littered with fucks and what have you. I don't need to broadcast O'Neal's snark and sex jokes to my cubicle coworkers with FONT FOR VISUALLY IMPAIRED PEOPLE. I can resize the display, blah blah blah,

Yes! This is what I'm missing the most with the new design. Otherwise, I like the new look of the site.

Super late to the party, but I'm finally catching up on my DVR. I used to work with college students who had Asperger syndrome, and choosing the right career was a challenge with nearly all of them. I worked with a smart science-minded guy who wanted to be a nurse, and he certainly had the grades and intellect for it.

I don't read reddit, and I didn't mean for that to be obnoxious. Point taken.

This show has always been over the top. This season, instead of using its crazy cards on the spy story, it's using them in the characters' personal lives. The tenor of this story doesn't seem that different from the craziness of Carrie chasing Abu Nazir with a pipe or Brody killing Walden via his pacemaker.

Have we ever seen Carrie use a condom? Also, I think we're supposed to believe that she has been pregnant for some time—long enough to have taken that many tests, but no so long that she would have known while scheming with Saul. It might be part of why she told Saul that he shouldn't have left her in the hospital so

"She would be clearly showing after 4 months!"
