You got me. No, I just meant the “disappointing” part. However, any inclusion of any of those elements would have been an improvement.

I think, like he hinted, he wrote them fast as hell and didn’t have time to develop them. I kept wondering why he didn’t incorporate his tried and true stand up bits and work them into the monologue. 

Yeah, the fact that they never even said their names... It was a third-tier show that got a weird rebirth on a streaming service. For them to expect that everyone knows who they are was weird.

Unpopular opinion(?): The Holdovers sucked. So much so that I couldn’t focus on the quality of the acting, which was apparently good enough to get two awards last night.

Have you tried Superdawg? If you have the time, it’s not that far from O’Hare but would require a stop. They do it pretty dang good.
