Destiny is far more affordable than any Halo (2+) with DLC ever was.

If you lack the previous DLCs, you can get the $60 edition to bring you to TTK. If you own the DLCs you get the $40 version for TTK.

FFXIV 1.0 was a disaster, with the team re-designing the game from the ground up for a lot of money spent. There’s really no comparison here.
