Thanks! Now I figure about half of my messages will be grey blobs of text! :) Anyway, I think that the show points out that Colleen's real reason for being interested in Danny is that Bakuto wanted her to be, and then she gets to see the real man himself between starting up with him and her own realization that her

Me too. This show needs him most of all, although I'd be thrilled if Prince of Orphans showed up and punched Danny in the head until he cultivated more sense next season.

I swear, a one-off Legends episode with Winn, Cisco, Felicity, Ray and Stein as a team would be so very awesome…

I'm mildly horrified that this isn't the WORST version of Daxam as a species I've ever seen. Kinda tickled that Mon-El's dad is named Lar Gand though.

He's my favorite character on the show that isn't someone I liked before the show came along. (J'onn's a favorite of mine EVERYWHERE, and the show does him well. Not like, say, how Legends of Tomorrow did another obvious favorite of mine…)

In fairness, considering Winn's father and upbringing, he may be used to it by now. Which is the saddest thing I've ever said…

I LOVE next episode's fights. Especially the middle one.

Even just dealing with K'un Lun, we've seen the other Immortal Weapons' cities, Master Khan and his issues, the Hand under Junzo Muto (who, in retrospect, would have been a pretty inspired choice for Hand boss here, as the story plays out), Hydra, and a host of others. Danny mentioned once that AIM made a play for it

Me either, which is why I feel that the show lampshaded it well. I'd go into more depth, but I have no idea how to do spoiler tags. :)

Trying to avoid spoilers for what other people may not know, since I have no idea how to do spoiler tags, some of the moves that the door guard throws at him seem to genuinely shock JONES instead of just Danny.

I guarantee this is the case, yes.

It's either my favorite or tied with it as well. The show before it and after it aren't the same show, period.

Yeah, that's actually a pretty great explanation.

I actually believe that this is literally the case. There's a bit in episode 8 where he's noticeably genuinely surprised that I caught without knowing the backstory about how this was filmed.

In fact, the series has Colleen be VERY defensive about how Danny's style isn't hers at this point. Of course, we understand why better later…

… that's actually true, even if you're like me and like her character arc.

The problem is that Gao is both a dead ringer for an existing Iron Fist foe, and is set up to be that character so blatantly that the writer who created her noticed it and freaked out. Then this series totally ignores that, and has stuff that heavily implies that said character from the comics can't even exist.

The series does explain that, a little bit. I still can't believe nobody made the obvious pun…

That's actually a pretty GREAT analogy for Iron Fist as a whole.

That's what I thought too, at first. What I do find interesting is that the show lampshades this nicely later, and DOES sell their reason for a relationship and has Claire point out that that's a really HORRIBLE reason for it later.
