Which is why when he stops being that guy, things get better

She's the MVP of these early episodes, and every bit as much a main character as Danny overall.

After watching the rest of the series, I'd guarantee that was intentional.

I do love that the show addresses all of these questions later in it's run.

For Danny. Colleen gets a few before Danny, and I'm still not 100% sure this isn't her story as much as Danny 's.

She's the protagonist of her own story, for sure… and she gets as good a character arc as Danny does throughout. (Both of whom, by the way, are better than anyone else in the Netflix shows, in that Cage and Jessica Jones are fully realized from day one, and Matt Murdock goes downhill.)

In fairness, they are sticking to Danny's earliest incarnations, where using the Fist wore him out too much to rely on it, leaving his opposition level more human. He legitimately grows as the show continues.

This is as SUPREMELY ironic discussion here, in that this show TALKS ABOUT THIS in an episode!

Plus, Colleen Wing makes up for Danny big time in the early going.

Not quite what I said… While Danny doesn't meet an opponent who can really physically challenge him solo until then, he has other, worthy challenges prior that can't be beaten by punching them in the head while glowing. Plus, Colleen Wing is the MVP of the first few episodes, having some awesome fights in her own

It gets so much more so that it stops being funny. :)

Episode six.

Yeah. I'd say there's nobody worthy of Danny on the other side until episode six.

The problem is that this episode has nothing resembling a worthy opponent to show off with. As soon as he does… Well, things improve.

First time I've EVER binged a show… But I've always loved the character.

I'm seven episodes in. I love it unconditionally. Danny 's character develops well, and literally all the questions from this review get resolved well. It's a slow open, but the middle is soaring by.

Could be handwaved away by any number of things, including deliberate misdirection by the editing.

I still am not convinced that Chase isn't Vigilante too, as many times as we've seen Ollie battle a vivid hallucination.

Comicwise, he can control the speed of chemical processes too, so…

I am beyond shocked he was still alive
