Awww, Selena.
Awww, Selena.
Oh my god.
She seems like such a genuinely kind and wholesome person. In all these years she has been gone, there hasn’t been anything negative about her in the media. I am Mexican, and I don’t know her songs, haven’t seen the movie. I think I’ll watch the movie next week on my son’s fall break. To the library!
Oh man. So bittersweet to see this.
What Cam Newton said was sexist and inexcusable. That said, the very next topics — Sex and the City, shopping, and holiday weddings — sound like a sexist listing “stuff girls like to talk about.” Any chance this (or anything else) was deliberate trolling?
This is the first Megyynnn clip I have watched, and...holy shit, is she annoying or what??? Her tone, her rich-girl whine — UGH. She is a twit.
Forgot to watch this again, which is odd, since I have a TV in my bedroom. Thyme makes a great tea if you have a sore throat. I have a big thyme plant and sometimes I snip some off and put it in the teapot with a lemon teabag and then add a little honey to it when I pour it.
Have any of the “audience members” quickly flashed “SAVE ME PLEASE” signs?
I would trade any one of these douchebags for my Tom back. Actually, whoever is in charge of the universe can take them all. Just give me back Tom.
Goddammit. I was just having a quiet one-person schadenfreude party, reposting everything I could find about my asshole anti-choice married former congressman getting caught telling his girlfriend to get an abortion.....so fun.
So, wait. You’re telling me you can’t legislate against evil...but...you’d probably say abortion is evil...but you can legislate against that...but...gun violence is evil...and yet...you can’t legislate against gun violence...
I think some of it is because, especially recently, we’ve been reminded of everything Diana’s sons have had to deal with and process, and they’ve been more open about the struggle with their grief, so it’s nice to see them find happiness. Like Harry has worked through some shit and come out the other side a better…
Me too. As one half of an interracial couple this makes me especially happy. Also, their engagement is gonna make the Daily Mail and their racist-ass readers SO MAD hahahahahahahaha
I am so here for this. I have no idea why, but I love it. It’s a nice little story that seems to pop up every time I need a little frivolity and I want them to get married and live happily ever after.
throw the pasta in because my blood is boiling.
I’m chiming in as both a minor Plath scholar (I did a thesis on her in grad school), and as a Smith alumna from about a million years ago. Plath loved this photo of herself, and it captures her in a period of deep joy and self-confidence. The photo is appropriate for the time-frame of the letters published in this…
So, Wonder Woman in a bustier = women can be anything. Plath in a bikini = undermined by being presented as a sexual object.
Hey! I beg to differ. Okay, it’s fucked up if the British are using this same image for every single Plath cover they produce, but imho this image fits this particular publication.
Dammit. I thought I’d read all things Plath, but now they have to re-release her letters with previously unpublished letters? FINE. TAKE MY MONEY.
I kinda like the picture. It’s a reminder that depression isn’t always experienced by some Goth chick in a black buttoned up coat, but also by cute blonde girls in white bikinis too. I like the contradiction it presents.
