This will likely end up in the engineering ethics classes. Right alongside Morton Thiokol rockets on the Challenger and the walkway collapse at a hotel in Kansas City.

I have a feeling this will be one of those cases future lawyers learn about in class. There’s going to be a lot of fingerpointing between the engineers and the various contractors involved.

I’m sure the people who died from this collapse and their families would be glad that it was engineered with such vigor instead of you know, rigor and discipline and a thoroughness that doesn’t fucking get people killed.

I have a feeling this will be one of those cases future engineers learn about in class.
