I feel like she’s relying on the evidence that “female-led countries did better with covid” for her contention. While this was true (and I live in one of those, at the time, female-led countries) most were smaller (e.g., New Zealand, Iceland), more progressive (i.e., they actually had female leaders), and with a…
I know. It can be hard sometimes to defend von Trier - who is, to be sure, a provocateur - but a poorly-delivered joke about finding out “he was a Nazi” because he had just learned that his actual father was a German (as opposed to the Jewish man he had believed his whole life was his father) is hardly the…

Not bad for half an hour’s annoyance. Several also really recommended The Holdovers.
“Burning to death feels good in a place like this.”
If I want to burn to death inside a locked theater, by God, that’s my right as an American!
They probably quit quietly just like everyone else.
There’s that stupid US nanny state driving up the cost of doing business again. Damn Government regulation!
From one lawyer to another: I checked with Lionel Hutz, and apparently the “guest with free popcorn” provides the free popcorn.
Free admission to movies and free popcorn for a full year? Fuck, sounds worth it to me.
Well the shows version of the Ellie and Joel relationship isn’t as strong as the games version so they’ll need a couple of episodes to build it up before they kill Joel off. I can see Abby’s backstory being the Long, Long Time episode for season 2 before they make it the turning point.
